The shoulder is probably the most complex and unstable joint in the body and in light of this is very vulnerable to injury from repeated or forceful pushing, pulling and reaching overhead. The most common problems of the shoulder are Rotator Cuff Impingement, Labrum Tears, and Biceps Tendon Irritations. This seminar provides in depth knowledge of the shoulder including, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, common problems, at risk work practices, therapeutic exercises and replacement Preferred Work Methods. The shoulder responds extremely well to a proper dosage of therapeutic exercise in most cases. We share and these exercises during this training module. If shoulder problems are not caught early, painful surgery may be required with an expected cost of $7,000 – $48,500, depending on the complexity of the surgical procedure.

Wayne Thomas, Corporate Safety, Blazers Arena ProjectSince completing the joint injury prevention training, Hoffman has experienced a dramatic drop in workers compensation costs ($.29 per man down to $.09)... The bottom line question to the foreman, "Was it worth the time and money?" Without exception, every foreman's response was positive and enthusiastic.
